From lukewarm milk, yeast and a little sugar, mix the sourdough starter and let it rise.

3.

Add the yeast to the flour with the whole egg and melted (cooled) butter and work into a dough. Cover the bowl with a clean tea towel and let the dough rise for about 60 to 90 minutes.

4.

When the dough has doubled in size, squeeze the air out of the dough and work it with your hands on a floured board for a few more minutes.

5.

Divide the dough into 4 parts, roll out the rolls and knit the Christmas tree.

6.

Transfer the cake to a baking sheet lined with baking paper and leave to prove for about 30 minutes.

7.

Then brush with beaten egg and bake at 180°C for 40 to 50 minutes.

8.

Good taste!
