Záhorácký závitek

Largest slices of pork leg seasoned with pepper, salted, rubbed with garlic, topped with English bacon, thicker sausage and sauerkraut, twisted into the shape of rolls, fried in lard, then baked in the oven covered, covered with water, and flipped open at the end, nicely colored.

Ingredients:

Rule for 4 servings: 4 pieces larger slices of pork leg

. 4 pcs thicker and long sausages 120 g slices of English bacon 40 g fried sauerkraut 10 g bacon for the base 2 pcs garlic cloves 2 pcs onions water pepper salt

Procedure:

1. 1. In a roasting pan, fry the diced onion in lard together with the chopped bacon
3. Add the rolls, fry them hot on all sides, then pour a little water, cover the baking dish and simmer in an oven heated to 200 °C for 50 minutes, until the meat is soft
4. Finally, remove the rolls, keep warm, dust the juices with flour and bake for a while, taste and season with salt if necessary.

Recommendation:

A suitable side dish is, for example, potato dumplings, bread dumplings, but also boiled potatoes or rice.
