Wild boar stew
Last Updated on
A slow-simmered wild boar stew is an excellent treat, even for a weekend feast. The flavour of the game is balanced with pork and beef mince, but of course you can make it entirely from my wild boar meat.
Ingredients for 6 people
400 g canned wild boar 400 g pork and veal 1 teaspoon of jam onions 1 red pepper 7 dl red wine; (or water + vinegar in 5/1 ratio) 1 dl olive oil 1 tbsp fresh sage 1 garlic salt and pepper 2 tbsp butter
Grab a cast iron pan on the stove and add the olive oil. Fry the wild boar until it browns slightly. Add my pork and veal mince. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the jam onions to the stew with the melted pasta and the sage. Remove the “hat” from the garlic and add to the pot. Pour the red wine into the pot and bring to a gentle simmer under the lid. Pyöritä pot välillä.
Cube tässä välissä peppers.
A couple of hours of päästä kept the liquids fairly denseä. Brush the pot with a generous amount of butter. Add more diced peppers, simmer for a further 15 minutes and remove the wild boar stew from the pan.
