White Wallachian Sourdough

Recipe from Wallachia for a soup made of plain flour, milk, cabbage and potatoes.

Ingredients:

500 g of sour cabbage 50 g of smooth flour 1 l milk several potatoes ground pepper bean leaves cumin salt

Procedure:

1. Cut a few peeled potatoes and boil in salted water seasoned with cumin
2. Remove the potatoes and simmer the cabbage with crushed bay leaves and ground pepper in the same water
3. Dissolve the flour in the milk and boil it, stirring constantly, until it thickens
4. Add the potatoes, sauerkraut and salt to taste.
