I was taught to bake this recipe by my mother-in-law, I always remind myself at Christmas by baking nice moments and time spent together.
1.
Beat the softened butter with the sugar until foamy, add the egg yolks. Mix the flour with the nuts, a pinch of salt and add to the beaten mixture. You can knead on a food processor with a kneading whisk or by hand. Finally, knead the dough thoroughly, wrap it in cling film and put it in the fridge for about 1.5 hours.
2.
Roughly 1/3 of the dough, make a thicker cylinder and cut into equal parts. Shape into balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Use your finger or a fork to make a well in the centre and bake for about 6 minutes at about 180°C.
3.
At this stage, remove them from the oven and fill them with jam. Put them in the oven to bake for about 8 more minutes, or depending on your oven experience, they should catch lightly golden in colour.
4.
For decoration, you can pour melted chocolate over them.
