Use cherry cobbler recipe to make pumpkin cobbler

If you want to enjoy the best of both worlds this Thanksgiving, why not try making a pumpkin cobbler? This dish takes the classic cherry cobbler recipe and gives it a festive twist that is sure to please your guests. And the best part is, it’s actually quite easy to make!
To start, you’ll need:
1 can (15 oz) of pumpkin puree
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
1 package (2-layer size) of yellow cake mix
1 cup of chopped pecans
1/2 cup of butter, melted
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Mix well.
Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared pan.
Sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the pumpkin mixture. Do not stir.
Sprinkle the pecans over the top of the cake mix.
Pour the melted butter over the top of the pecans. Again, do not stir.
Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy!
