Transylvanian Layered Cabbage

Simmered sauerkraut interspersed with eggs, bacon, sausage and meat cut into small pieces, sautéed in onion and paprika with rice. All baked in the oven.

Procedure:
1. 1. Pour 2 decilitres of water over the parboiled, rinsed and steamed rice, add salt and simmer until tender
3. Place the cabbage, slices of boiled egg, bacon strips, sliced boiled sausage, sliced meat, sautéed in onions and peppers and rice in layers in a fireproof dish greased with the remaining lard
4. Sprinkle each layer with cream, the top layer should be made of cabbage
5. Then pour cream over everything and bake in a medium heated oven at 190 °C.
Recommendation:
– Side dish: Bread.
