Method of preparation
1 Mix the yeast with a spoonful of lukewarm milk and a pinch of sugar. It will let me rise to the top. Knead a soft dough with all the ingredients and the risen dough and leave it in a warm place to rise for about 30 minutes. 2 Roll out the dough into a thin pancake, cut it into strips and wrap them around the custard tubes or bowls. 3 Bake the traditional trdelnik in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 8 minutes. 4 Note: The cake can also be baked on a ‘baking tray’ over a fire, e.g.
