Traditional Handful Soup

The origins of the preparation of handful soup date back to the 19th century, when it began to be cooked in Central Moravia in the HanĂ¡ and Wallachia region. It is based on legumes and cereals. So not only is it healthy, it is also filling! It was served with a thick slice of homemade sourdough bread and is said to give strength to a good man. He was supposed to be able to get by without any more food.

Ingredients:

300 g Handful Menu Gold 3 pcs large potatoes 2 pcs

carrots 1 pc of celery root 1 pc garlic cloves 1 pc onion 1/2 tsp teaspoon ground pepper 1/2 tsp smooth flour water salt

Procedure:

1. Cook the pre-soaked Handful mixture for 30 minutes
2. Add diced potatoes, root Vegetable Recipes, crushed garlic, season with chopped fine parsley, bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes
3. For the last step, prepare the stock; fry the chopped onion in the hot oil and add 1/
2 tablespoons of plain flour, fry until golden brown with 1/
2 teaspoons of ground red pepper
4. Pour the finished stock into the soup and let it come to the boil
5. Serve the soup garnished with fresh parsley.

Recommendation:

Mostly soak the legumes overnight.
