Tomato soup with turmeric

ingredients

7 dl tomato juice 3 dl water 1 KL turmeric 1/2 KL salt 1 tsp dark muscovado sugar

Tomato soup is such a sure thing for us. I like to experiment with spices. Ginger, orange juice, nutmeg, turmeric, cinnamon… all work well in tomato soup. Even plain tomato can be different every time. The little one loves it, we have home-made boiled juice, so a healthy soup is literally on the table in 5 minutes after a walk.

Heat the juice, to save time I add water from the kettle. Add salt, sweeten (muscovado adds a good flavor, it tastes so caramel-honey), and season with spices. And done 🙂

We can add as we are used to hard cheese, parmesan cheese, a bit of small pasta, a handful of rice or oatmeal.
