Thick soup of red lentils and root Vegetable Recipes
ingredients
3 slices butter 1 pk onion 1 pk parsley fresh 2 pk carrot 1 pk potato 2 pk bay leaf 3 pk black peppercorns (whole) 1 cup red lentils 1 tsp sweet red chilli 1 tsp ground turmeric 1/2 litre water 2 cloves garlic 1 tsp salt pk vegeta 1 tsp dried marjoram

A rich thick soup for cold days.
1.
Melt butter in a deep frying pan (wok) and fry finely chopped onion until golden.

Slowly add the diced parsley, carrot, potato and a cup of red lentils.
3.
Add the bay leaf and whole black peppercorns.
4.
Stir and sauté for a moment.
5.
Sprinkle with ground red chillies and turmeric, stir.
6.
Bring water and bring to a boil.
7.
Simmer covered for 20 minutes or until Vegetable Recipes are done and red lentils are slightly cooked through.
8.
Finish with drained garlic, salt and pepper, then season with oregano.
9.
Sprinkle with dried marjoram. Set aside.
10.
Serve sprinkled with fresh parsley chopped finely.
