The bull’s eye in bread recipe

Ingredients

1 serving 1 slice of bread 1 slice of bread oil for frying 1 slice of boneless ham or crumbled cheese to taste, grated or sliced 1 egg salt pepper allspice ground ground pepper or chilli powder

Recipe preparation

1 Cut out the middle (shell) of the slice of bread, remove the crumbs and fry both pieces of bread with crumbs and crust intact in a frying pan with a little heated oil. 2 After baking, turn both pieces over, place a piece of ham in the hole in the shell, place a piece of cheese on top, which can also be grated or finely chopped, and crack in an egg, which is salted, seasoned with pepper and sprinkled with a little paprika or chilli. 3 Remove the fried crumbs a little earlier and cover the stuffed crust briefly with a lid so that the whites are absorbed more quickly but the yolk remains a little runnier. 4 Place the stuffed crust on a plate with the fried crumbs and serve immediately.
