My mom used to make this dish when she was a kid, it’s actually the cherry candy of our childhood. A quick, easy, and inexpensive treat. Serves as a sweet lunch or dinner that can be eaten hot or cold. I make this soup every year in cherry season.
1.
Place the washed, unpitted cherries in a saucepan, cover with water, add cinnamon and cloves, and cook until soft. When the cherries are soft, pour in the milk mixed with the starch. When our brew starts to boil again, add sugar to taste and vanilla sugar. Boil it all together for a while.
2.
Divide the cooked soup into desired portions, either into plates or mice. Put biscuits according to taste, it is very good with them When I make a larger quantity, I also tend to put it in artificial bowls and put it in the refrigerator Have a good taste!

P.s. As for the density of the brew, that is up to everyone, we like it that way. Of course you can thicken it with plain flour too, my mother used to do that when she was a kid. But I thicken it with starch, because it has a neutral taste and adds softness too If you want, you can replace milk with just water, my mom used to do both. Whether you pit the cherries is also up to you to determine
