Simple, yet very tasty, recipe from Bulgarian cuisine for peppers baked in the oven under the grill or even on an outdoor grill grate filled with a mixture of Balkan cheese, chubrica and sweet red peppers.
Ingredients:
8 pcs
of white bell peppers
400 g
of Balkan cheese
chubrica (Bulgarian spice blend)
sweet red pepper
Procedure:
Wash peppers, cut off tops, hollow out.
Grate the Balkan cheese, mix with the chubrica and sweet red pepper.
Fill the insides of the peppers with the mixture, don’t overfill, the peppers will flatten and the cheese will ooze out.
Place the filled peppers on the grill, or in the oven under the grill, bake until blisters begin to form on the surface of the peppers and the flesh softens, turning during baking.
