Strouhanec z Klatovska

Rising sourdough mixed with grated potatoes, eggs, flour, garlic and spices. This mass spread on a baking sheet and baked in the oven, spread with lard and decorated with poppy seeds.

Ingredients:

250 g of raw potatoes 250 g of semi-coarse flour 250 g of coarse flour 50 g of yeast 2 dcl milk 4 pcs garlic cloves 2 pcs of egg speck of sugar breadcrumbs marjoram lard marjoram salt

Procedure:

1. Prepare a sourdough starter with milk, sugar, yeast and a teaspoon of flour, let it rise in a warm place
2. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater, add eggs, salt, marjoram, crushed garlic, flour and the risen sourdough, knead the dough and let it rise for about 20 minutes
3. Grease a baking tray with lard, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, pour in the prepared dough, smooth and finally sprinkle with poppy seeds
4. Bake for about 40 minutes in an oven heated to 190-200 °C, brush with melted lard during baking 5.
