Strawberry Muffins

Dessert of semi-coarse flour, cornflour, vanilla sugar and butter with strawberries.

Ingredients:

150 g butter or vegetable fat 200 g flour 100 g sugar 50 g cornflour 12 pcs medium sized strawberries 1/2 pcs baking powder bag 3 pcs eggplant 1 pk bag vanilla sugar 6 tbsp milk grated zest of 1 orange icing sugar for sprinkling pinch of salt paper molds muffin tin

Procedure:

1. Wash the strawberries, clean them and let them drain on a sieve
2. Beat the fat with the sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest and a pinch of salt for 5 minutes until foamy
3. Gradually add the eggs
4. Mix the flour with the cornflour and baking powder, sift over the egg mixture and beat briefly
5. Finally, add the milk and knead a smooth dough
6. Line the muffin tin with paper cups and divide the prepared dough evenly into them
7. Press one strawberry in the middle each time
8. Bake the muffins in a preheated oven at a medium temperature (160-170 °C) for about 25-30 minutes
9. Let them cool.

Recommendation:

If you prefer crispier muffins, you can replace the cornflour with grated coconut, which you lightly toast in a pan.

Note:

Maize, a cornstarch, is mainly used to make traditional puddings and to thicken soups and sauces.
