Recipe from South Tyrol for a sweet fried dessert made of flour, eggs, a little alcohol, melted butter and milk. It is served still warm, sprinkled with icing sugar and garnished preferably with cranberry jam.
Ingredients:
Rule for 4 servings:
280 g
smooth flour
40 g
melted butter
1/4 l
semi-skimmed milk
3-4 pcs
of egg
2 tablespoons
of pure alcohol (vodka, slivovitz…)
pinch of salt
frying oil
+ funnel (funnel)
powdered sugar and marmalade for garnish
Procedure:
Salt the flour, mix it with the liquid ingredients, i.e. melted butter, alcohol and milk, pour a little of this in, stir, pour in, the batter should be thick but slightly runny, like for pancakes.
Heat more oil, pour batter into the hot oil using a funnel, make smaller rounds, gradually increase the rounds. Fry the individual tassels until golden brown.
Use a suitable ladle, ideally straight, with holes, to pull out the tassels and let them drain on a paper towel.
While still warm, serve sprinkled liberally with icing sugar, decorate with some good jam, cranberry jam is great, but other jam can be used.
