2 tbsp lard 1 pk onion 1 tsp ground cumin 500 g pre-cooked beef shanks ground black pepper 2 tbsp ground red pepper 500 g lentils (or fresh pepper with tomato) 3 pk potato 2 tsp salt 800 mg homemade broth 2 cloves garlic 2 tsp dried marjoram

In a large saucepan, melt the lard and sauté the finely chopped onion until golden.

Sprinkle the fried onions with ground cumin and stir. Add the pre-cooked beef shanks and mix together again.

Sprinkle the mixture with ground black pepper and red chillies and mix together.

Add the preserved bottle of leche, diced potatoes and season with salt.
5.
Pour in the homemade stock so that the whole mixture is covered by a maximum of 1 cm above the rim.

Stir in the garlic and add the dried marjoram.
7.
Bring to the boil and cook over low heat for about 1.5 h or until the sticks and potatoes are tender.
8.
Serve.
