Stewed iceberg lettuce with peas and tomato

2 butter 1/2 pk onion 1 cup frozen peas pk ground black pepper pk salt pk fresh thyme 1/2 pk iceberg lettuce 2 pk tomato 1/2 pk lemon

A refreshing side dish with fish, meat or on its own that can be served cold or warm.

Melt the butter first, then sauté the finely chopped onion.

Add the frozen peas and stir.

Salt and pepper the peas and add fresh thyme leaves.

Add the chopped iceberg lettuce to the peas, stir and simmer covered for 8 minutes.

In the meantime, place the tomatoes in boiling water to remove the skin (blanch). Remove the tomato core and cut the remaining tomato into fine squares.

Then add the tomatoes prepared in this way to the lettuce and peas, mix.

Finally, drizzle the stewed salad with the juice of half a lemon and serve.
