Spinach Puff Pastry Pie

Salty dessert made of filo pastry filled with lettuce, baked until golden brown in the shape of a cake.

Ingredients:

400 g of filo pastry (can be substituted with Czech puff pastry) 450 g of spinach leaves 300 g sour cream 200g hard (sheep) cheese 2-4 pcs garlic cloves 1 pk smaller onion 3 pk egg + 1 pk to coat dough pinch of nutmeg olive oil for brushing ground pepper salt

Procedure:

1. Divide the filo dough into two parts, one larger and one slightly smaller, roll out the larger part into a pancake slightly larger than the diameter of the mould, place it in a mould lined with baking paper, the edges must slightly overhang the sides of the mould
2. Prepare the filling; fry finely chopped onion and garlic in oil, add chopped spinach, sour cream, grated cheese and egg, stir and let simmer for a little while
3. Put the mixture on the prepared mould with puff pastry, roll out the other part of the dough and cover with the spinach mixture
4. Brush the surface of the dough with beaten egg

Recommendation:

Using a knife, you can decoratively cut the surface of the pie into a cross before brushing it with the egg.
