This spaghetti with meat sauce recipe is the perfect meal for a busy weeknight. It’s easy to make and can be on the table in under an hour. Plus, it’s a great way to use up any ground beef you have in the fridge.
To make the sauce, you’ll need:
1 pound of ground beef
1 onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 can of tomato sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
To make the spaghetti, you’ll need:
1 pound of spaghetti noodles
1 tablespoon of olive oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Start by browning the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once it’s cooked through, drain any excess fat and remove from the heat. Add the onions and garlic to the pan and cook until softened. Then, add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package directions. In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Drain the noodles and add them to the pan with the garlic. Toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
To serve, divide the noodles among four plates. Top with the meat sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese
