Spaghetti with brown lentil sauce

Valentine’s recipe for spaghetti according to the recipe of the Czech Vegan Society. This is a quick vegan recipe prepared in 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

1 package of whole wheat spaghetti 2 cans crushed tomatoes 1.5 cups cooked lentils 1/3 cup red wine 3 pcs garlic cloves 2 pcs celery stalks 1 pc medium sized carrot 1 pc shallots 2 tbsp nutritional yeast 1 tbsp dried herbs (oregano, basil, thyme) 1 tsp sugar chilli powder olive oil water pepper salt

Procedure:

Cook the pasta in lightly salted water called.

In a deep frying pan heat olive oil and fry finely chopped shallots. Add the finely chopped carrots, celery and sugar and sauté over low heat for another 10 minutes.

Add the crushed tomatoes to the pan, stir and pour in the red wine. Stir and simmer for a few minutes.

Add the cooked lentils, crushed garlic, delicatessen yeast and herbs. Season with pepper, salt and chilli to taste.

Serve the spaghetti with the prepared sauce.
