Spaghetti sauce recipe with cumin and turmeric

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 large yellow onions, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons turmeric
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 cup water
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the cumin seeds in the olive oil over medium heat until the seeds are toasted and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the turmeric, smoked paprika, chili powder, coriander, and cayenne pepper, and cook for 1 minute longer.

2. Add the diced tomatoes with their juice, the tomato paste, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Add the parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes longer.

3. Serve over cooked spaghetti or other pasta
