The recipe is from a great-grandmother who had two cows and always had an excess of milk. The cake reminds me of my childhood

Mix all the ingredients together, pour onto a greased and floured baking sheet and bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Spread the baked cake with jam (preferably currant jam) and top with chocolate.

She used to make the frosting with cocoa, milk and sugar ( add cocoa and sugar a little at a time to the warm milk until a thicker consistency is formed).
