A slightly different way of making a yeast cake, which you definitely won’t regret 😉 Soft dough with juicy apples combined with strawberry pudding. I highly recommend it, it’s amazing!
1.
First we can prepare the filling. Clean the apples and then cut them into thin chips. For example, cover the prepared apples with a plate so that they don’t brown while you use them, as we will mix the filling later If you want, you can also clean the apples in between rising the dough, but I did it in advance. You need to peel enough apples so that you have a net weight of 1kg of chips
2.
In one bowl, first mix the flour, sugar and salt with a spoon. Then add the egg, oil and the yeast swollen in 2dl milk. Add the remaining approx. 1,5dl of milk as needed. Work out a semi-soft dough, which is already separating from the bowl Finally, using a little flour, knead the dough briefly into a loaf shape and leave to rise for approx. 35 minutes.
3.
Just before we start working with the risen dough, we mix our filling. Don’t mix it before, because the sugar will just drain the apples of too much juice You can add sugar according to your taste or the acidity of the apples.
4.
Cut the risen dough into 2 parts and roll both out to the size of the tin. Mine is 25x35cm. Then transfer one rolled dough to a baking sheet with paper.
5.
Distribute the apples evenly over the dough and cover with the other dough. Brush the top with the beaten egg and place in the oven, which you have preheated to 180°C for about 35 minutes. You need to keep track of this to be sure.
6.
And here is the already baked cookie 😉 I baked it for 35 minutes. After baking, brush it with more butter to warm it up. Let the cake cool properly so that the filling will set and can be cut nicely
7.
The cake tastes fantastic, the dough is light and soft 🙂 The filling is supple and has a wonderful, unique taste. The cake is delicious not only on the day of baking, but also on the second day! I wish you a good taste!
