Slaneček v papier
Fish are very popular in Sweden. This original recipe is for the preparation of herrings as a main course. Sardines or fresh herring can be prepared in a similar way. The original Swedish name is Sill i papper.

Procedure:
1. Soak the herrings in water for 12 hours and let them soak thoroughly
2. The next day, remove the fish, dry them, cut off the heads, skin and debone them
3. Sprinkle both halves of the fish carcass with onion, pepper and chopped herbs, then put the two halves together, put them on baking paper, add a spoonful of butter and wrap the individual portions well, put them on a baking sheet so that the butter does not leak out, i.e. put the ends of the paper on top
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 15 minutes, serve the baked fish hot directly in the paper I baked them in
