Home-made and practice-tested recipe for a simple and tasty whole wheat bread. Suitable for everyday and festive table.

2.
Put the potatoes on to boil (I personally boil them in their skins and about 20 minutes after the water has boiled off), in the meantime put the water (I combine 4 dcl cold water with 2 dcl hot water from the kettle), yeast and sugar in a bowl, when the yeast starts to work (“bubble”) add the cooked and peeled potatoes and blend them with an immersion blender.
3.
Add the pips, salt and pepper (I use Provençal pepper, granulated garlic, whole cumin and usually dried marjoram) and mix.
4.
gradually add and stir in the flour.
5.
This is what the finished dough should look like. Let it sit for about an hour, it will still work.
6.
Then put the dough into a greased baking dish (I use a classic baking dish with the following dimensions: length 31 cm, width 19 cm, height 6 cm). Half a portion of the dough will fit neatly into the biscuit tin.
7.
Align the dough in the baking pan with wet hands and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for an hour.
8.
The final product will look something like this. Enjoy.
