Shrimp in Coconut Sauce

Shrimp meat cooked in coconut sauce, served with rice.

Ingredients:

750 g cheese shrimp (langoustine) 500 ml of coconut milk 1 tbsp of clarified butter or oil 1-2 tsp sambal oelek 1 tsp ground turmeric 1 teaspoon curry spice 1 piece onions pepper

Procedure:

1. Peel the shrimp (after removing the shells from the tail shell, remove the meat and remove the casing as for crayfish)
2. Fry the finely chopped onion in hot butter, add all the spices, stir and finally add the spice paste, cook everything for about 5 minutes
3. At this stage, pour in the coconut milk, season the sauce with salt, add the prepared prawns and cook for 10-12 minutes
4. The dish is best served immediately with cooked rice.

Note:

Sambal oelek (Ulek) – A spicy spice paste made from simmered and then mixed chillies, salt, (sugar) and lemon juice.
