Russian-style Buckwheat

Do you know how to cook buckwheat properly and deliciously? Don’t you know? Never mind! Here is the recipe how it is prepared in Russia or Ukraine.

Ingredients:

1 cup of buckwheat 2 cups 1 pc of onions 80 g of bacon parsley pineapple pineapple oil salt

Procedure:

  • Heat oil in a pan, pour in clean dry buckwheat, saute until buckwheat starts to smell nice
  • Now pour in 2 cups of water, turn down heat source, cook until buckwheat is soft, then cover with lid, buckwheat will finish and absorb the rest of the water, the whole thing takes about 15 minutes
  • In the second pan melt the diced bacon, add the chopped onion, stir fry until the onion turns golden
  • Salt and pepper the buckwheat in the pan, divide onto plates, sprinkle with the cooked bacon and onion and chopped parsley.
  • Recommendation:

    If you want to make buckwheat sweet, pour milk instead of water, season with sugar and mix in dried or fresh fruit at the end, the ratio is 1:2, i.e. 1 cup of buckwheat and 2 cups of milk.
