Rubbed marble cake

A classic from our grandmothers’ recipe books. Two-coloured cake made of semi-coarse flour, eggs, margarine, sugar, cocoa and lukewarm milk.

Ingredients:

500 g of semi-coarse flour 320 g of sugar 140 g of margarine 250 ml of lukewarm milk 2 pcs eggs 1 pc baking powder 2 tbsp water 2 tbsp cocoa powdered sugar fat to grease the mould flour to line the mould pipe mould

Procedure:

1. Separate the yolks from the whites, whip the whites into stiff snow
2. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar, 2 tablespoons of water in another bowl and gradually add the softened margarine, alternately also the lukewarm milk and flour mixed with baking powder
3. 4. Separate part of the batter, about one third, into another bowl and mix it with the cocoa
5. Flatten the surface and put it in a preheated oven at about 160 °C and bake for about 50-60 minutes
7. When the cake is partially cooled, turn it out and dust it with icing sugar.
