Procedure:
1. Wash the potatoes and boil them in salted water until semi-soft
2. Drain the water, let the potatoes cool slightly, then peel them and grate them coarsely 3. Put half the fat in a heavy frying pan, lightly fry the finely chopped onion and diced bacon and add everything to the grated potatoes
4. Season with freshly ground pepper, add salt and mix thoroughly
5. Form the potato mass into individual “pancakes” and fry in hot oil on both sides until golden brown
5. Serve hot.
