I got this recipe from my grandmother. It is very simple and reminds me of puff pastry. Most often rolls were baked, filled with various fillings. I grew up on Baldovská voda. We drank it and still drink it, but very often unflavoured straight from the spring. Now I make rolls, sometimes I add it to sourdough for a cake, or make pancakes. Even coffee is delicious from plain. You can use plain or flavored.
1.
Prepare the ingredients.
2.
From flour, butter, salt and water make the batter. Let it stand at least overnight in a refrigerator , i.e. 12 hours (I couldn’t make it right away, so it stood longer). It can also take 24 hours.
3.
Then I kneaded the dough on the board some more, rolled it out, cut it into squares, put jam on each one, rolled it up and shaped it into a roll. You can fill with any filling you like, according to taste.
4.
On a greased baking sheet, I brushed with beaten egg. Bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
5.
Baked, who wants can sugar it. I didn’t sugar them. They look and taste like puff pastry.
