Risotto with sauerkraut and meat

1 kg chicken meat 1/2 kg sauerkraut 3.5 dl rice 3 pcs tomatoes 2 pcs peppers 1 pk onions 2 pcs small potato 1.2 liters water 1 tbsp ground red pepper 3 pcs small bay leaf to taste salt to taste ground black pepper, whole black pepper to taste ground cumin to taste vegeta a little oil

This is how my mom prepares it and she simply adores sauerkraut π Itβs a very simple and delicious one-pot meal that you will definitely enjoy!

Glaze the finely chopped onion in oil, add the minced pepper and let it sizzle for a while. Then add the sauerkraut, pour 2 dl of water and let it simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, add the meat to the pre-stewed cabbage and let it simmer/reheat together like this for a while to allow the meat to change colour. Finally, pour 1 litre of water, add chopped peppers, tomatoes, bay leaves, cumin, peppercorns, salt and a little vegeta. Let the whole thing cook together until tender.

Finally, add the rice and 1 large potato cut into smaller pieces, or 2 small potatoes. Stir, season if necessary and let cook covered for 20 minutes, actually until the rice swells π

The dish is delicious and I recommend it to anyone who likes sauerkraut π It is very tasty and super juicy π
