Rich lentil soup

a little olive oil 2 pcs shallots 2 pcs potatoes 450 g lentils 1 litre cold water 1 clove garlic to taste ground black pepper 1/2 KL cumin 2 pcs carrots to taste salt 50 ml sour cream 50 g chicken breast a little chopped parsley

In a deep frying pan or saucepan over a medium heat, fry the shallots in the oil. Add chopped potatoes, rinsed lentils and cover with cold water. Add crushed garlic, black pepper, cumin and carrots.

Bring to the boil and cook over a low heat, covered, for about 45 min. or until the potatoes and lentils are tender. Add water if necessary. Add salt and sour cream before turning off the heat.

While the lentils are cooking, fry the chicken breasts, chopped finely, in the oil in a frying pan until the pieces of meat are browned.

Pour the soup into plates, add the meat and finely chopped parsley.
