Rice recipe to use leftover fried wingettes

This rice dish is the perfect way to use up those leftover fried chicken wingettes! It’s easy to make and can be tailored to your own liking. I like to add a little bit of everything to my rice, but you can leave out the vegetables if you want. This dish is also great for meal prep. Simply make a big batch of rice and keep it in the fridge for up to four days. When you’re ready to eat, just reheat and enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 cup white rice
2 cups water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1-2 cups leftover fried chicken wingettes, chopped

Instructions:

1. In a medium saucepan, bring the rice and water to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 18 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the cooked rice and chicken wingettes to the skillet. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and heated through. Serve warm
