Rice pudding with nuts and apples

200 g round rice 1/8 packet butter 2 handfuls walnuts 600 g apples 2 packets cinnamon sugar 300 ml milk 2 pcs egg 150 g sugar

Rice pudding with apples , cinnamon and walnuts, a great dish for autumn days.

Wash the rice, let it boil covered with water, later cook with milk, add 1/2 sugar. Beat the egg yolks with butter and sugar. Mix the cooked rice in the milk with the mixture. Beat the egg whites to make a snow, which add to the rice mixture. Put half of the mixture in the baking dish, cover with grated apples, which have been seasoned with cinnamon sugar. Add the coarsely chopped walnuts. Layer the other part of the rice in milk on top of the apples. Bake in a preheated oven at 180deg. for about 45minutes. Serve drizzled with syrup. Enjoy.
