Rhubarb has a high fiber content, which makes it a food of choice. Its strongly acidic taste lends itself better to savory dishes, even though it is traditionally eaten most often as a dessert. Here is the recipe for Rhubarb Pie with Thermomix.
Ingredients: Shortcrust pastry 2 stems of rhubarb peeled and cleaned 1 egg 100 g caster sugar 1 packet of vanilla sugar 200 g liquid cream A pinch of cinnamon Preparation:
cut the dough into thirds, then put two-thirds of the dough in a pie pan, then prick with a fork.
Cut the rhubarb into pieces, then place them on top of the dough, then bake for 15 minutes at 200°.
In the bowl of the Thermomix put the egg and program 2 minutes at speed 3.5, then add the caster sugar, vanilla sugar and liquid cream, then program another 2 minutes at speed 3.5.
Add the cinnamon, then pour the mixture over the rhubarb, then put the rest of the dough on top.
Bake for 40 minutes at 200 degrees, and let cool before serving.
