Last Updated on
Pound Cake is a classic dessert that can be enjoyed in so many different ways. One way to enjoy this delicious treat is by turning it into mini pound cakes. This mini version is perfect for sharing and makes a great addition to any party or get-together. Here’s a recipe to help you make your own mini pound cakes:
Ingredients:
1 pound cake (store-bought or homemade)
1-2 tablespoons of butter, melted
1 cup of confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the pound cake into 12 equal pieces. If the cake is not level, you can trim the sides so that they are level.
Place the cake slices into the prepared muffin tin. You may need to gently press them down so that they fit snugly into the cupcake liners.
Brush the tops of the cakes with melted butter.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cakes are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oven and let cool.
Once cooled, mix together confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and 1-2 tablespoons of water to make a glaze. Adjust the amount of water as needed to reach desired consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the mini pound cakes
