Recipe to make phyllo sheets for baklawa

Making phyllo sheets from scratch is not as difficult as you might think. With a little time and patience, you can easily make these delicate sheets of dough at home. Here is a recipe to get you started.

Ingredients:
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-1/2 cup water
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:
1. Combine the flour, water, salt and olive oil in a large bowl and stir until the ingredients are fully combined.
2. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
3. Cover the dough with a clean, damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Be sure to keep the dough well-floured while you are working with it to prevent it from sticking. If you are not using the phyllo right away, you can store it in the refrigerator, wrapped in plastic wrap, for up to 2 days.
