Recipe to make bulk batch of jelly
If you love jelly, but hate the process of making it one batch at a time, this recipe is for you! With just a few ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a big batch of jelly that will last for months.
The ingredients you’ll need are:
4 cups of fruit juice (whatever kind you like)
6 tablespoons of lemon juice
6 tablespoons of liquid pectin
8 cups of sugar
The instructions are pretty simple:
Sterilize canning jars and lids according to instructions.
In a large pot, mix together the fruit juice, lemon juice and pectin. Bring to a boil.
Stir in the sugar and continue boiling for one minute. Remove from heat.
Ladle the hot jelly into the prepared jars, leaving ½ inch of headspace. Wipe the rims of the jars clean and screw on the lids.
Process the jars in a boiling water canner for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
You can use your jelly on toast, in PB&Js, or even in cocktails! If you have any tips on how to use up a big batch of jelly, please share them in the comments
