Ingredients:
-1 cup (240 ml) of all-purpose flour
-1 cup (240 ml) of sugar
-3/4 cup (180 ml) of unsweetened cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon (5 ml) of baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of salt
-1/2 cup (120 ml) of vegetable oil
-2 eggs
-1 cup (240 ml) of water
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). Grease and flour two 9 inch round baking pans.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
3. Add oil and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
4. Add water and mix until the batter is smooth.
5. Pour batter into the prepared pans.
6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.
