Recipe of lasagna without tomato sauce
Lasagna is a dish that is typically made with layered sheets of pasta, ground meat, and a tomato-based sauce. However, it is possible to make lasagna without tomato sauce. This version of lasagna is usually made with a bechamel sauce, which is a white sauce made from milk and flour.
To make lasagna without tomato sauce, you will need the following ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef
1 onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 package of lasagna noodles
1 (15 ounce) can of tomato sauce
1 (16 ounce) carton of cottage cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it is browned. Then, add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is softened. Stir in the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
Meanwhile, cook the lasagna noodles in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions. Once they are cooked, drain them in a colander.
In a medium bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, eggs, and Parmesan cheese.
To assemble the lasagna, spread 1/2 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Place six cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Spread 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese over the cottage cheese. Repeat the layers one more time. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
This recipe can be modified in a few different ways. For example, you could use ground turkey instead of ground beef. You could also add vegetables to the meat sauce, such as carrots, celery, and bell peppers. And, if you want a little more flavor in your lasagna, you could stir in some Italian seasoning to the meat sauce
