Recipe for spaghetti baked with kidney beans and cheese on top
Last Updated on
Hey there! This is a quick and easy recipe for spaghetti with kidney beans and cheese on top- a perfect meal for when you’re short on time and need to whip something up quickly. This dish is also great for leftovers, as it reheats well and can be easily reheated in the microwave.
Ingredients:
-1 pound of spaghetti noodles
-1 can of red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
-1/2 cup of grated cheese (I like to use cheddar, but you can use any type that you like)
-1 jar of your favourite spaghetti sauce
-1/4 teaspoon of salt
-1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions.
3. In a large pot, mix together cooked noodles, kidney beans, cheese, spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper.
4. Pour mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
That’s it! This dish is now ready to serve. I like to top mine with a little extra cheese and a sprinkle of parsley or basil, but you can omit this step if you’d like. This dish can be served as is, or with a side of garlic bread or salad
