Here’s a recipe for making a stuffed pepperoni pizza that’s sure to please everyone! You’ll need:
1 pound of Italian sausage
1/2 cup of diced onion
1/4 cup of diced green bell pepper
1/4 cup of diced red bell pepper
One jar of your favorite pasta sauce
One tube of refrigerated pizza dough
Two cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium-high heat until it’s no longer pink. Add the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper, and cook until the veggies are soft. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the pasta sauce.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to fit a 12-inch pizza pan. Transfer the dough to the pan, and spread the sauce over the top. Sprinkle on the shredded cheese, then bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
If you like, you can add additional toppings like olives, mushrooms, or pepperoni. This pizza is best served hot and fresh from the oven, but leftovers will keep in the fridge for a few days
