This dish is the perfect blend of savory and sweet, and it’s sure to please everyone at your next cookout or backyard party. Best of all, it’s easy to make!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 pound ground beef
1 can chili
1 batch cornbread (see recipe below)
Shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Form ground beef into 4 patties.
Grill burgers for about 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Place burgers on a plate and top with chili.
Top with a square of cornbread and shredded cheese, if desired.
Serve immediately.

This recipe is also great for making sliders! Just use mini burger buns in place of the cornbread. And if you’re looking for a vegetarian option, simply omit the ground beef and top your chili with a veggie burger patty.
