Recipe for making ginger and turmeric tea
Winter is coming, and that means that sickness season is upon us. One of the best ways to fight off a cold or the flu is with a delicious and warming cup of ginger and turmeric tea.
Ginger and turmeric are both renowned for their medicinal properties. They are both anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants, making them the perfect ingredients for a immunity-boosting tea.
To make your own ginger and turmeric tea, simply combine:
1 cup of water
1 inch of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 inch of fresh turmeric, peeled and grated
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Bring the water to a boil, then add the ginger and turmeric. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes, then strain it into a cup. Add the honey and lemon juice to taste.
