Recipe for macarons French method
Macarons are a classic French pastry that can be found in bakeries all over the world. These delicate cookies are made with almond flour, sugar, and egg whites, and they are sandwiched together with a variety of flavorful fillings.

Ingredients:
1 cup almond flour
1 cup powdered sugar
2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Food coloring (optional)
Your favorite filling (jam, buttercream, etc.)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, stir together almond flour and powdered sugar until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
Add granulated sugar to the egg whites gradually, whisking until all of the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is glossy.
If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the egg white mixture and mix until combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three additions, folding gently until combined. The mixture should be thick and smooth.
Place the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a 1/2-inch tip. Pipe 1-inch rounds onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Tap the baking sheet lightly on the counter to release any air bubbles.
Let the cookies sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour before baking. This will help them to form a skin that will give them their signature crisp texture.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set and lightly golden brown. Let cool completely before sandwiching together with your favorite filling
