These cream brioche rolls are soft, fluffy and simply irresistible! The perfect treat for any occasion, they can be enjoyed on their own or served with your favourite toppings.
To make these rolls, you will need:
1 cup (250ml) of milk
1/3 cup (80g) of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon (15g) of dry yeast
3 eggs
4 cups (500g) of flour
1 cup (250g) of butter, softened
1/2 cup (125ml) of whipping cream
To make the dough, combine the milk, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl. Stir until the yeast has dissolved, then add the eggs and flour. Mix well until everything is combined, then knead for 10 minutes. The dough will be quite sticky, but don’t worry – this is normal.
Add the softened butter to the dough and knead until it is fully incorporated. Then, add the whipping cream and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
Once the dough has doubled in size, divide it into 12-16 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking tray. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 200C/400F before baking the rolls for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown
