Recipe for corn casserole without sour cream

This corn casserole dish is the perfect alternative to the traditional dish that calls for sour cream. It is hearty, filling and packed with flavor, making it the perfect side dish to any meal. And, best of all, it is made without any sour cream!

The key to this dish is in the cornbread mix. Be sure to use a high quality mix, one that is made with real butter and buttermilk. This will give the casserole the best flavor and texture.

Another tip for this dish is to top it with shredded cheese and/or crumbled bacon before baking. This will take it over the top and make it even more delicious!

Ingredients:

–1¼ cups cornbread mix
–½ cup milk
–1 egg
–1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
–1 can (15 oz) cream-style corn
–1 tablespoon butter, melted
–Toppings: shredded cheese, crumbled bacon

Instructions:

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2) In a large bowl, stir together cornbread mix, milk and egg.
3) Stir in corn and cream-style corn.
4) Pour into a greased 9-inch baking dish.
5) Drizzle with melted butter.
6) Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
7) Remove from oven and top with shredded cheese and/or crumbled bacon.
8) Serve warm
