Pulled Pork

Pulled pork, known here as pulled pork, is an American classic. It is one of the most famous American barbecue dishes. Meat prepared in this way can be stuffed into buns and served like burgers, or it can be served in tortillas, with rice, etc.

Ingredients:

2 kg of whole pork shoulder 1 jar BBQ sauce lobal

Procedure:

  • Wash the meat, dry it thoroughly, then massage the BBQ sauce into it
  • Line a baking tray or suitable baking dish with foil so that you can wrap the meat nicely on all sides later, lay the meat on the foil but leave it unwrapped for now
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 220 °C for 40 minutes so that the meat is nicely browned
  • Pull out the baking dish, wrap the meat completely in foil and continue to bake in a preheated oven at 125 °C only, bake for 7 to 8 hours (the temperature of the meat should be 80-90 °C – can be measured with a needle)
  • Pull the meat out and carefully unwrap it so that we can catch all the juices trapped in the foil, we will use them later
  • Place the meat back in the oven, this time heated to 240 to 250 °C, bake for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Finally, take the meat out of the oven, wrap again in foil and let rest for 10 minutes
  • While still warm, tear the meat into strands with a fork and serve immediately, for example, garnished as a burger, heaven with rice, here you can use the juice from the foil. We can also stuff tortillas, etc.
